what is emergent leadership?

Emergent Leadership acknowledges that in a rapidly evolving world, true leadership is increasingly about our ability to navigate the fluidity of change, our relationship to it, to ourselves, to each other and to the world around us.

Navigating this complexity is made possible by taking a relational approach by building strong relationships between leaders and their teams. And considering the entire system as well as it’s parts when solutions-finding.

I’ve combined more than 20 years in big corporate as a creative tech leader and innovator, with 7 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and professional certified relationships coach, to enable me to powerfully and effectively guide forward-thinking leaders to tap into their own inner wisdom and lead teams and organisations from within.

Leadership Coaching

When you learn the skills and tools to develop new ways of seeing and being you can lead your teams or organization through complexity to clarity. 

I believe that personal evolution and collective generative growth go hand-in-hand. When you feel fulfilled and nourished as much as you are challenged and excited by the work that you do, the place and people that you do it with benefit.

By enabling and elevating leaders like you to see, feel, understand and hold multiple viewpoints – after first understanding your own – you are better able to  connect with your team members and communicate more easily and naturally, especially when holding difficult conversations. 

Leadership that includes body-based awareness as well as emotional intelligence and of course, mental acuity legerages the full potential of the leader.

They show up fully present, engaged and empowered – and in turn, empower those they work with in integrity.

Strategic Facilitation

As a facilitator, I work with you to transform groups into robust, innovative teams ready to solve complex challenges through open collaboration and effective easy communication.

Sometimes I use design thinking and human-centered design methodologies to support co-creative ways of problem solving. Other times I deploy the tools and skills of relationship building including establishing safety and trust within the team and between team members. 

Hands-on workshop-like environments are sometimes created to help participants through all phases of team building and solutioning, from framing the challenge to brainstorming solutions to defining an action plan, accountability and support to ensure follow through. Other times I support you and your team in meetings that are already planned, taking the pressure of running the process out of your hands. 

Whether we move through near-term or longer-term challenges together, a spirit of exploration and possibility is coupled with strategic, informed action to get to a clear end goal.
